Daniel Kahnk, 34, of Kennard Nebraska, died Saturday, June 29, 2002.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 3, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment was in the Kennard Cemetery.

Daniel Lee Kahnk was born March 30, 1968, in Fremont to Roland and Linda (Cook) Kahnk. He earned his Eagle Scout Award in 1984. He graduated from Fremont High School in 1986, and attended Midland College in Fremont.

He was in the construction and remodeling business in Kennard, where he was a partner in Country Acres Homes Company. He was a member of the Kennard Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, fishing, farming and, most of all, being with his children.

He is survived by daughter, Amanda, and son, Jacob; his parents, Roland and Linda Kahnk; grandparents, Howard and Billie Cook, all of Kennard; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Robert and Janeen Kahnk of Broken Bow; nephews, Cole and Jared; aunts, uncles, many cousins, and special friend, Jennifer Jewett.

 

Memorials are suggested to the Amanda and Jacob Kahnk Trust Fund, or the Daniel Kahnk playground equipment fund.
