Justin P. Oswald, 19, of Fremont Nebraska died Friday May 1, 1987 at his home in Fremont.
Justin Patrick Oswald was born January 8, 1968, in Fremont Nebraska, where he lived his entire life. He joined the United States Navy on Dec. 22, 1986, and was stationed in Meridian, Mississippi. He was home on leave before going to Charleston, South Carolina, where he was to serve on the U.S.S. John Hancock DD981.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont Nebraska. He attended Clarmar grade school, then graduated from Fremont Senior High School in 1986. He wrestled in junior high and played football in high school.
Survivors include his father, Clyde Oswald of Dallas, Texas; mother and stepfather, Gloria and Lanny Schmid of Fremont: two brothers, Jason Oswald of Dallas and Schuyler Schmid of Fremont; grandparents, Ted and Helen Kurowski of Fremont, Mrs. Adele Oswald of Lincoln and Mrs. Alice Schmid of Omaha.
Visitation will be 3pm-8:30pm on Saturday May 9th and 1pm-9 p.m on Sunday May 10th, with a rosary at 3pm at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont Nebraska.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday May 11th at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont Nebraska.
Military graveside services will be conducted by members of the Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Center of Omaha Nebraska. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Fremont Nebraska.
